Vanek Whiskey Events was founded by Tom Vanek in 2011, combining his passion for whiskey with his talent for engaging presentations. Tom's entertaining and relaxed style captivates both connoisseurs and newcomers alike. His contemporary approach to whiskey covers a range of topics, including the whiskey-making process, the similarities and differences among various whiskey styles, how to decode whiskey marketing language, common myths about whiskey, and one of his favorites—how psychological and physiological factors influence our perception of flavor.
Through fun and enlightening experiments, Tom recreates the “ah-ha” moments he experienced when he was new to whiskey, helping guests appreciate it in a fresh light, regardless of their prior experience.
Tom's enthusiasm for sharing his whiskey knowledge extends to writing; he has contributed articles to various magazines and is active on social media, particularly LinkedIn, where he ranks in the top 1% of profiles.
